1st Dress Up

This morning we were getting dressed for the day and after I put her down to go play. She immediately went back into her bedroom and got her bib out of her dresser and put it on, then she went and found her hat and put it on. She loves bibs and hats. She will go pull them out of the drawers and play with them. This morning though, she put them on and wore them the whole morning until it was time to go. I then made her take them off. I know, so mean, wouldn't let her wear them out of the house! I had to take a picture, it was to funny.

Dewberry Farms

This past weekend we headed out to Dewberry Farms, it was a lot of fun and Rylie had a great time. Nonnie and Paps went with us so we all took turns chasing Rylie around. Below are just a few of my favorite pics :)

Mom, Dad, and Rylie before we left

Rylie crawling through the long tube to the other side, you can't really tell, but she is laughing

This was her least favorite ride of all. She is not screaming yet, but once the wheels starting turning, Jon had to go get her, she starting screaming and cried the whole way!

She loved the goats. We fed them several times and she went back and visited them several times.

She was watching the ducks and didn't understand why she couldn't go swimming with them. She headed straight for the water.

She looked like such a big girl on the horse tire swing. Of course, I was having a heart attack the whole time Dad was pushing her.

She loves slides, she is sliding down the tube slide.

Once upon a time there was one little Aggie and one little Red Raider sitting on a bench reading there two little books. They were so oblivious to the hostile world of College Football around them :) They remained friends in their young little lives not knowing their teams weren't friends, but rival competitors.

I thank the lord each day that we can have precious moments like this with our children. That they are so innocent and sweet in their young lives. Who knows where they will end up, but we will be proud either way!

Happy Halloween

We hope everyone had a great Halloween, this Halloween was a lot more fun, now that Rylie is getting bigger, not that she still knew what was going on, but at least she could participate a little. Rylie was a fairy. We only went to the houses on the streeet and on the way home from the last house, she was already walking slowly, she was very tired.

We got her pictures made in her costume and this was getting ready for the pictures a couple of weeks before

This was actually on Halloween, we were getting ready to go out and she discovered candy was in her basket! She was really interested in what was in there and then she dumped it out.
Our first stop was two houses down and we ran into our buddies, Ryan and Sydney. She was not too sure about Ryan and his spiderman costume, she just kept walking around him in a circle looking at him. It was hilarious. She was very curious.

After a few houses, she learned how to knock on the door, this is her knocking all by herself!

She was very excited, because she got a lollipop, which she proceeded to eat right then and there, we couldn't leave the doorstep until it was opened!
I can't wait to see everyone else's pictures too.

Little Miss Rylie

Yesterday was the first of many I am sure! She has really started to develop I guess what you would call a "personality"

It stated with her oatmeal, she didn't want to eat it, so she rolled her eyes at me, I thought, well maybe she didn't mean too, yeah right :)

Then when we were getting dressed she decided her doll stroller was for her and then proceeded to fight me on her bow, which after this pic, was no more. She didn't wear it the rest of the day.

We were then headed out the door to run some erronds and I told her to come on and she stood there and shook her head "no" at me. All day, everything was "no" She didn't say no, but she just shook her head.

I am not quite sure what happened to my sweet little girl, I am sure she is still in there somewhere :)

The whole day went on like this, luckily she slept until almost 9 this morning and has been much better today. Although, I am not in denial, I know there will be plenty more "no" days!!!

Traveling and Festivals

We have had a busy week or so. We have been to Great Granparents, Mutti and Putti's house. We had a blast, there are some pics below. We then returned home on Wednesday and had a full filled weekend at the festivals.

I went in to get Rylie to wake her from her nap, she had already been asleep 3 hours and she was sound asleep with her foot hanging out of the bed. She didn't even wake when I took the pic

This was hilarious, her car got stuck on a rock, so she got off and starting pushing it.

Getting her face painted at the festival, she is getting a pumpkin, I couldn't believe she actually sat there and let the girl do i

Long Time, No Blog!!

So I have been a little behind on the blogging, but I will try to do better. We have been a little busy lately. Since the last blog, we started school, had a hurricane, went to Las Vegas, and are now trying to get ourselves back in gear! Just a little bit going on. Below are some catch up pics to show everyone what we have been up to the past month. We are looking forward to the upcoming fall, we have lots of activities planned and will try to take lots of pics to post on our blog to keep everyone up to date!

Rylie started preschool and her best friend Sydney was there to walk her in. They go to the same school, but on different days. We are hoping next year, they will be in the same class, that would be soooo cool :)

Rylie went right in and started playing on her favorite toy

This was during Hurricane IKE, we lost power for about 12 hours, we were one of the fortunate ones, it wasn't too hot, but the kids had their best clothes on. It was a little toasty so we all had story time and a snack. Rylie and I then bailed out and went to Nonnie and Paps house, they didn't lose electricity at all!

Welcome to Las Vegas!!! We were supposed to be on a cruise the week after IKE, but it got cancelled since it was supposed to leave out of Galveston! We booked a trip to Las Vegas instead with our neighbors, Paul and Lara. We had a blast and it was nice to get away for the 1st time since Rylie was born!!

We thought these glasses were cool, we didn't buy them, too expensive, but made a cool pic!

This is the water show at the Bellagio. Awesome! We didn't stay there, again, great pic!

That is what we have been up to. Stay tuned, more pics to come soon :)

Children's Museum & Find Your Classroom

We have had a busy couple of days. We went to the Children's Museum on Thursday and Rylie had a blast. She enjoyed seeing all the kid friendly items and being able to walk around on her own and doing what ever she wanted. Friday we had find your classroom at her school. She got to play with some of her classmates and see her new classroom for the year. She had a great time and I think she is going to love it there.

I couldn't resist adding this picture, she thought she was so cool!

This was at the Children's Museum, I think she thought she had some real food. For those of you who know her well, she will eat anytime, anything!!!

She loved the cow and wanted to pet it. She loves animals and is not scared of any of them

Daddy's 1st Soccer Experience

Jon volunteered to play in our Sunday school class soccer game. This was very interesting because Jon has never played soccer before! Needless to say, it was a little more challenging than he thought. We all were there to support him and cheer him on :)

Day 1- Our New Blog

Ok, here I go! I have so many pics of Rylie and I don't send them out via email so I am going to try this method. I know, Lara, you can be soooo proud of me :) I take pics almost everyday of her and never send them out so check back often and I will try to put them on here at least a couple times a week.

I hope everyone is doing good and sorry I am not better at email or calling! Rylie is doing great, growing like crazy. She is starting preschool September 3rd. Some of the pics below are from tonight, we went to meet your teacher night! She of course, had no clue what was going on except running and playing at the playground with a bunch of kids her own age!
